Parisian Custard




Also called Flan parisienne; is the most delicious custard you can never go wrong and everyone will love it. Flan is very easy to prepare and you can make it all the time. It's basically eggs, milk and vanilla flavors. You can find them in various tastes; with fruits, nuts or even with a crust. The one I've been making is without the pastry. Which my dear husband loves it very much. He can eat them over and over again..

I love the smooth, soft texture it gives you every time you bite it. It's like you're in your own happy place. It's one of my favorite custard. Simple, easy and quick.




Serves 6:

30 g butter, melted, plus for greasing
200g plain flour
100g caster sugar
4 eggs
 Vanilla sugar, to taste
1 litre milk


Method:

Preheat the oven to 180*c and grease a 20 cm (8inch) Charlotte molds with butter.

Put the flour in a bowl, make a well and put the sugar, eggs and butter into it, then beat to combine. 

Stir the vanilla sugar into the milk and add to the flour and egg mixture. Beat the batter until completely smooth. 

Pour into the prepared mold, place in a roasting tin half filled with hot water and bake for 45 minutes. Turn our and serve cold.

Drizzle some toffee syrup and icing sugar
